My Mom’s beloved caliber for the average hunter I would say the 44 Magnum for best caliber and the 458 Win Magnum for the best cartridge. My beloved rifle is everything made by Winchester.

One issue is that the Winchester doesn’t have a detachable magazine. Our number one rifle is the 44 Magnum I picked up online at the NRA store. The best hunting trip was a miserable experience at the time even with my new Mossberg Vanguard Sporter 458 Win Magnum.
