My Mom’s favored caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a 222 Rem Magnum. My friend (Maxwell) said his esteemed caliber is the 222 Rem Magnum he got at a National Rifle Association banquet last season. I picked up my Ruger Model 44 Carbine in the hunting section at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Donegal.
