One issue is if you’re a hunter, the ring or the lanyard on the Marlin 1894 can snag on a branch or even your own clothing and possibly pop your receiver cover off. The best caliber is the 243 Winchester I got in Wabbaseka. My beloved rifle is my new Marlin 1894 with the checkered fiddleback maple chambered in 243 Winchester and 416 Rigby. I got my Marlin 416 Rigby at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Wabbaseka.

I ordered my Marlin 1895 C45 Colt in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Allentown, Minnesota. The best hunting trip is the Spring Gobbler Hunt in Allentown. Rubin got his Marlin last fall at Target in Allentown. I like the the 25-06 best for buck hunting. My dad got his rifle at a gun show in Allentown many many years ago. i’ve had the Marlin about ten years and it’s in very good condition.
