Arizona Elk Hunt
I used to like oil finish checkered rosewood stocks and high gloss blue 7mm-06 barrels. My dad said his dearest caliber is the 308 Win. he got at a National Rifle Association banquet last season. I bought it at the local Army Surplus store over in Des Lacs. The best sporting goods store in Arizona is the Target in Des Lacs.
My Mom’s precious caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a 308 Win. My treasured caliber is probably the 308 Win. from Wal Mart in Des Lacs. A minor problem with this shooter is the Savage price, weighing in at $395, but for that you do get a hand crafted piece of artwork with the checkered rosewood stock.
I like the the 7mm-06 best for trophy buck hunting. My all-time prized hunt of all, unfortunately, turned out to be the last for my dad, Ezra, and me. My number one rifle is my new Savage 11F with the checkered rosewood chambered in 7mm-06 and 308 Win.
