The best caliber is for the H&R Sub-MOA is my 338 Winchester Magnum. My Dad’s darling caliber for wapiti and larger game is 338 Winchester Magnum and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 256 Win Magnum. The best hunting trip with the Mossberg Sub-MOA 256 Win Magnum is hard to pin down.
